Served probably his apprenticeship in PAJEOT's WORKSHOP in Mirecourt, and his style will remain close to PAJEOT'S until his death in 1849.
He settled his own workshop in Mirecourt in 1826.
He left Mirecourt to go to Paris in 1853.
Beside his own production he worked for GAND, Jean-Baptiste VUILLAUME and Georges CHANOT as well. His style will change all along his life under the influence of PECCATTE during the 1850's and then to a lighter model after 1860, as many other makers of his time.
